Teaching Argument Writing: Online Courses and $500 Stipend Option

I hope everyone’s school year is off to a great start and that you are finding engaging new ways to bring writing into your day-to-day classrooms. For those of you who have worked with C3WP (college, career, and community writer’s program) in the past, or those who would like an introduction to C3WP resources for teaching argument writing, the National Writing Project is offering a series of 4 online courses (the first one started last week) to help you bring these argument writing lessons into your classrooms. Each of the 4 courses, which can be completed on a flexible schedule, is described in more detail HERE:

The RRVWP will pay for your enrollment fee, and we are also offering $500 stipends for teachers to share what they learned in the form of a teaching demo, blog post, or Google doc sharing materials and lessons that you developed in the course.

If you’d like to take this opportunity to “up your game” in teaching argument writing, let us know (benjamin.melby@ndsu.edu) by next Friday (9/24), so we can get you registered for one or more of the courses!
