This site is developed through a collaboration between the National Writing Project and the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers to enhance the teaching of writing and encourage sharing of plans and strategies based on The Best Teen Have you used The Best Teen Writing to inspire young writers in your classroom? Welcome to Vision and Voice: Great Mentor Texts from The Best Teen Writing, an interactive social networking site for teachers in grades 7–12 who are excited about youth voices, creative writing, and The Best Teen Writing. This resource for creative writing teachers currently contains reflections and blog posts based on pieces from The Best Teen Writing 2012, organized and tagged for ease of use.Writing.

The website is intended to be a living space where teachers can make posts, comment on one another’s work, and continue to share resources. Readers will find everything from musings to fully formed lesson plans developed and posted by teachers excited about using great student models to inspire their student writers. Search the site by keywords, or browse channels of interest. Bookmark posts that interest you and comment to share your own thoughts, questions, and links.
