The Grand Forks Herald ran a lovely story this past Wednesday about RRVWP Teacher-Consultant Fred Strand winning a Presidential Award for Excellence in Math Teaching. Fred and his wife Donnalee (also a RRVWP TC) will travel to Washington, D.C., this fall to receive the award.Fred and Donnalee, tell President Obama to restore direct funding to the National Writing Project! It will be interesting to see if there are other NWP former fellows among the math and science teachers getting the award.
