We have been told that the education funding bill that relates to NWP will be marked up in the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee this week. Therefore, it is extremely important that we contact all of NWP’ s strongest supporters in the Senate to request their help. As you know, Senator Kent Conrad signed the NWP Dear Colleague letter in 2010. So, we are asking you to please call Senator Conrad by the end of the week to thank him for his support and to request his continued support for NWP funding in the Fiscal Year 2011 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (LHHS and ED) Appropriations bill. Please also request that your senator call Senator Harkin, Chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on LHHS and ED, to express his support.
