RRVWP Advanced institute on technology

There's still room for a few more people at the Red River Valley Writing Project advanced institute---Developing a Professional Learning Network: Using technology and social networking in the classroom. The institute runs August 2-10, 2010 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Stanford Centre Room 8. The Stanford Centre is located at 500 Stanford Road in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Learn how to tame the wildly-expanding world of online options, through a workshop in which teachers can develop their own go-to gang of educators, or a Professional Learning Network (PLN).

The RRVWP Advanced Institute is open to any teacher who has completed a summer institute with the RRVWP or other National Writing Project site.

Register by Friday July 30, 2010 by sending an email indicating your interest to Carmyn Juntunen at the following email address:

cjuntunen[at]gfschools[dot]org

Continuing education credit from the University of North Dakota is pending; those who sign up will receive registration information once the course is listed on the UND website. We're hoping to get the registration link this week. We'll send out a notification to all who have signed up when we do.

The Institute is free. UND charges $50.00 for the credit.
