A new year, a new perspective

In 2011, I intend to focus more on what is working in our schools. This is a practice that I cultivate; it's like eating well. I know I need to do it, and yet I constantly find myself slipping into obsessing over the gaps and holes, the everything-that's-not-done, the learning or teaching that isn't happening. Often, it's a new school year that prompts us to think about what we'll do differently in our classrooms, how we'll think about education, etc. Yet a new calendar year offers an opportunity to re-imagine and refocus when it comes to education.

Any plans for change in your classroom in 2011?
