Is April really the cruelest month?

The Internet is alive with poetry resources for April, National Poetry Month. Scholastic has a variety of writing and reading activities to help students and teachers engage with poetry.

Poetry Writing with Karla Kuskin is part of Scholastic's Writing with Writers section. The Write It Poetry section includes writing exercises from the likes of former Poet Laureate of the United States Ted Kooser. The Scholastic site also links to other poetry writing at other sites, most importantly the American Academy of Poets' Poem In Your Pocket project. There's even a Poetry Idea Engine at Scholastic's site, and it's interactive whiteboard ready. (Not testing by the writers of this blog)
